The Dagoreti Early Child Education Intervention Programme is an orphan organization that was initiated in the year 1989 and duly registered in 2000. It started off as a feeding program alleviating poverty among street children and later became a home in 2007 after the post election violence as a rescue initiative of abandoned children at Nairobi show ground near Kibra. Only later a home was rented in waithatka with the help of Children Living With Aids Charity ( CWAC). In the fullness of time together with Lift the Children from Canada , the rented facility was extended for another three years . Henceforth with a loan later serviced by wings of support i.e. KLM a piece of land was purchased at Mutuini where the current home resides . Thereafter , Mama Biashara , a local CBO , Peace corps and friends of DECIP from the Netherlands community church , local and international business community including Hindu Community . Bob Collimore Foundation and several charitable initiatives assited in the construction of structures that exist up to this very day .
